Our CAT6A Shielded Patch Cable is the perfect fit for indoor applications. It is made with 8 stranded copper conductors (4-Pairs) with a aluminum foil shielding and a durable PVC jacket that is available in multiple colors. The ends are made with a molded snag-less boot design and terminated with high-quality Shielded RJ45 modular plugs featuring 50 Micron gold-plated contacts. Our Category 6A Patch Cables are designed for indoor LAN applications, making it the ideal solution for indoor installation that require the cable to be installed in walls or any other non-plenum areas.
Primus Cable's CAT 6A Shielded Patch Cables were designed for Gigabit Ethernet and other standard network protocols, so they can handle 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX, 1000BASE-TX, and 10GBASE-T. Our CAT 6A Shielded Patch Cables were tested up to 750MHz, which allows 10GBASE-T to be run over longer distances of up to 100 meters. Primus Cable's CAT 6A Patch Cords are backward-compatible with CAT 5, CAT 5e, and CAT 6.
Crosstalk is the phenomenon in which a signal from one channel or circuit interferes with another channel or circuit's signal. With that in mind, we have designed our CAT 6A so that it reduces the crosstalk to help with interferences from other signals. Perhaps one of the most significant improvement in our CAT 6A over our CAT 6 relates specifically to alien crosstalk (AXT). AXT refers to cables interfering with the signals of other cables in close proximity. Our CAT 6A Shielded Patch Cables were designed to have lower AXT then CAT 6 patch cables to help improve the signal quality.
Why Shielded Cable?
The foil shielding protects the signal from outside EMI’s and also keeps the signal from emitting its own EMI. For example, a hospital has many electronic devices that emit Electro Magnetic Interference so you would want to use a shielded cable to prevent EMI from both entering and exiting your cable.
